OLPH Parent Climate Summary
Quarter 1, 2025

“And let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

— Galatians 6:9

A Community Rooted in Faith and Growth

We are deeply grateful to every parent who participated in our first quarter Parent Climate Survey. Your thoughtful feedback helps guide our ongoing mission to provide a Christ-centered, academically excellent, and nurturing environment for all students at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School.

What We’re Doing Well

Parents highlighted these consistent strengths across grade levels:
  • Faith Integration: Daily prayer, Mass, and a visibly Christ-centered culture.
  • Teacher Excellence: Professional, compassionate, and engaging educators.
  • Student Life: A growing variety of clubs, enrichment opportunities, and community events.
  • Safe, Loving Environment: Students feel supported and known.
  • Family Engagement: Parents appreciate open dialogue and visible leadership.

Areas for Growth and Continuous Improvement

While the overall tone was overwhelmingly positive, parents expressed a desire for greater clarity and consistency in communication. Comments noted that messages sometimes arrived too close to the event date, or that families received information not always applicable to their child’s grade level.

Here’s how we are responding:
  1. Monthly Calendar – Beginning in November, a school-wide calendar will be shared at the start of each month outlining all major events, dress-up days, and activities.
  2. Weekly Newsletter – A concise Friday newsletter will highlight upcoming reminders and key announcements for the week ahead.
  3. Targeted Email Lists – Parent contact lists have been re-categorized so that messages now reach only the grade levels or groups they apply to.
  4. Preschool Communication Stream – Mrs. Laura Lawrence has stepped into the role of coordinating early childhood communications to ensure a consistent, unified message for our youngest families.

In addition, several parents shared thoughtful feedback about uniform costs, school lunch pricing and quality, homework expectations, and aftercare activities and cost. These concerns have been heard and will be addressed directly during an upcoming community conversation:

Details will be shared soon, all parents are invited to join us for an open and constructive discussion about ways to continue improving the OLPH experience for our students and families.

What parents have to say about OLPH:

"OLPH has become a second home for us. From day one, the teachers, administration, and other families have been welcoming and loving. Sending our children to school at OLPH has been such a blessing in our lives, and our children have grown in their Catholic faith because of it.”

'“How many hours until Monday? I miss being at school!” This is all I need to hear to feel peace that my child is thriving at OLPH. Go Owls!"'

“The Our Lady community is a family. God is at the center of everything we do.”

“My children have been thriving at OLPH. They grow academically, spiritually and emotionally.Every single day
they go to school with a big smile and we couldn't be happier. Thank you!"

"OLPH has a nurturing environment that helps students thrive and carve their unique strengths. The Christ-centered education impacts the students life, not just during school hours but also with opportunities to visit adoration with family members after school hours every week."

“Can’t say enough about Dr. Fox and the way she is shaping this school!”

"This preschool is absolutely precious. They love my child as their own. I notice that every teacher and administrator is involved in
my child's life and learning. Thank you for all you do!"

"OLPH radiates joy. The teachers pour their hearts into every child, and the small class sizes create a close-knit, faith-filled community where our children are truly known and loved."

Moving Forward Together

Thank you again to every family who took the time to share feedback and encouragement. Your partnership is what makes OLPH truly special.

My door is always open, and I welcome continued conversations about how we can strengthen our school for our students, families, and faculty. Together, we are forming disciples, scholars, and leaders — all rooted in Christ.
In gratitude,
