Our Lady of Perpetual Help School Employee Discount Policy
Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to outline the eligibility requirements and procedures for employee
tuition discounts offered to qualifying employees of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School
(“OLPH”).
Policy Statement
OLPH offers a tuition discount to eligible employees as part of its commitment to support staff
and their families. This discount is provided in accordance with the guidelines below and must
be coordinated with all applicable state scholarship programs.
The purpose of this policy is to outline the eligibility requirements and procedures for employee
tuition discounts offered to qualifying employees of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School
(“OLPH”).
Policy Statement
OLPH offers a tuition discount to eligible employees as part of its commitment to support staff
and their families. This discount is provided in accordance with the guidelines below and must
be coordinated with all applicable state scholarship programs.
1. Eligibility
1.1. Full-time employees of OLPH are eligible to apply for the Employee Tuition Discount.
1.2. Part-time employees may be considered for a prorated discount at the discretion of the
school administration.
1.3. The discount applies only to tuition for the employee’s dependent children who are enrolled
at OLPH.
2. Required Application for State Scholarship Programs
2.1. Before any employee tuition discount may be awarded, the employee must apply, if eligible,
for both of the following Tennessee programs:
Tennessee Education Savings Account (ESA) Program
Tennessee Education Freedom Scholarship Program
2.2. Proof of application (and award determination, if applicable) must be submitted to the
school’s business office each academic year.
2.3. Failure to apply for these programs, when eligibility criteria are met, will result in
ineligibility for the employee tuition discount.
3. Discount Amount
3.1. The standard Employee Tuition Discount is 50% of the published tuition rate.
3.2. However, the employee discount shall not exceed the remaining tuition balance after all state
scholarship funds have been applied.
3.3. If scholarship awards fully cover the cost of tuition, no employee discount will be applied.
3.4. If scholarship awards partially cover tuition, the employee discount may be applied only up
to the amount of the remaining tuition due, and not beyond that amount.
4. Annual Review and Compliance4.1. Eligibility for the employee discount is reviewed annually and must be re-certified each
academic year.
4.2. Employees are responsible for the timely submission of required documentation related to
scholarship applications and award letters.
4.3. OLPH reserves the right to request additional information to verify eligibility or compliance.
4.4. The school administration may amend this policy as needed to remain compliant with state
requirements or school budgetary constraints.
5. Administration
5.1. The Business Office is responsible for reviewing applications, verifying scholarship program
compliance, and calculating any applicable discounts.
5.2. Final approval of employee tuition discounts rests with the Principal and the School Finance
Committee.
